Deana's Educational Theater

Deana's Educational Theater is very easy to work with. They provided a great deal of support with the logistics for the performance. The Yellow Dress has garnered a lot of positive feedback. We are pleased to be bringing them back for a third time.

Since 1995, more than half a million young people and adults have witnessed the power of The Yellow Dress.

About the Show

The Yellow Dress is a dramatic one-woman play based on the stories of young women who were victims of dating violence. The carefully constructed program stimulates thought-provoking discussion about relationships. Audiences are clearly moved by the story of a young woman who warmly tells us of her relationship that begins as young love, full of passion and promise — and ends in tragedy.

The Yellow Dress program

includes discussion guides and resource materials to help military personnel:

  • Recognize the early warning signs of abuse
  • Learn how to help friends and family members who are victims or perpetrators of abuse
  • Understand the cycle of abuse — including sexual assault
  • Become more comfortable seeking help from military and local resources.

Deana's Educational Theater will help you plan a program to suit your specific needs.

The program lasts approximately 1 hour for performance and discussion, and includes a performance, post-show discussion, and teaching materials. All programs include a program planning guide to assist with preparation for the most successful program possible.
