Our research showed that Doin' the Right Thing had a significant positive effect on students - they were far more likely to enlist the help of a teacher when they saw students get bullied and more likely to help or befriend another student who was unpopular, friendless or lonely.

About the Show
Doin' the Right Thing engages students as they witness the verbal, non-verbal and physical behavior that reflects episodes of real-life bullying and harassment in their school and community. They observe positive role modeling when the main character decides to take a stand and do the right thing. The interactive half-hour after-show discussion features the three actors who help students process and reinforce the educational points in the play.
Doin' the Right Thing helps students learn to

- Reach out to friends and classmates who are victims of bullying and harassment
- Recognize abuse by Girl Bullies
- Know when and how to seek help from caring adults
Doin' the Right Thing Program Information
- Program lasts approximately 1 hour for performance and discussion
- Program includes a performance, post-show discussion, and teaching materials
- Additional support available includes teacher trainings, student/peer leadership trainings, and the coordination with other school prevention activities
